The Job Search Continues

In hindsight maybe specializing in GTAW welding was a poor choice. Sure I can weld aluminum, Stainless ECT.. but finding A job doing what I love is turning out to truly be a challenge. I have added this blog to my resume which changes somewhat regularly in the hope that maybe some of my projects will catch a potential employers eye.

I worked here for a summer between quarters welding the stainless steel frames together http://www.o3international.com/

Currently I am sub contracting through D.A. Macy Co. in white center doing misalanious TIG projects. https://plus.google.com/108318591168490962535/about?gl=us&hl=en

I think it is time to head out to my shop and build something if only for the practice sake.

  1. I had a job interview yesterday and at the tail end of it they surprised me with an automotive question which took me a few seconds to answer. Not because I was nervous but because I have not focused on being a mechanic in over 3 years rather, I have been solely focused on learning a new trade, welding. This as I think about it comes as no surprise as with any skill if you do not use it you lose it !
