New Torch Body -

After a job interview this AM I got the call from the weld shop that my parts were in. I have been putting this post off until this happened so I could photo the different torch bodies and, easily show the difference between the two .

The larger of the two is the WP-9 torch body which uses 2 series collets, bodies and , lenses.
The smaller is the CK-80 RG torch body which can use the 2 series collet bodies and lenses however requires a torch specific collet to secure the tungsten in place.
Here are the links,
Both of these torch bodies are gas cooled.

The series 2 collet bodies pictured may be used on either torch body however the collets differ from one to the other, the series 2 are upper and the CK-80 are pictured lower, they do not look that different at a glance but there is just enough length (roughly 1/8") that the collet bodies will not work correctly without them.
The Gas Lens pictured on the CK-80 Torch (on the right lower) is specific to the torch and will not work with the WP-9 torch body (on the left lower).
The upper collet is the series 2, the lower is the CK-80.
I have yet to need to use these torch bodies but the next time I get a job in the shop that requires getting into a tight space I will be better prepared.

Thank You for looking.

HAPPY WELDING !!!
